The contemporary embroideries feature joyful Egyptian scenes of date palm trees, camels, Egyptian pigeon houses and the pyramids of Giza.

The Artisans
These pieces are embroidered by talented Egyptian women from areas like Siwa, Sinai and the Nile Valley, where there’s a rich history of handicrafts and traditional embroidery. In attempting to revive these traditions and preserve them from dying, a local designer started using sections of fabric embroidered by these women in their local communities to create unique, modern pieces, injected with elements of Egyptian heritage. This collection blends authentic Egyptian crafts with current trends, creating shawls, scarves, bags and wallets designed to highlight these pieces of handmade traditional embroidery.
